3-Day Itinerary
Embark on a captivating journey through the heart of Tanzania's wildlife wonderland with our Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari. This expedition offers an unrivaled opportunity to witness the magnificent Great Migration in the Serengeti (depending on the time of year), where countless wildebeest and zebras paint the landscape in a sea of movement. Then, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, an ancient caldera teeming with diverse wildlife, including the "Big Five." Our expert guides ensure you'll be in the prime spots for unforgettable sightings, all while you enjoy the comfort of well-appointed lodges and tents. This tour promises an adventure that's etched in your memory forever, blending the thrill of the wild with the luxury of discovery.
At 6:30am after an early breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your 8am flight to Serengeti National Park. Please note that there is a 15kg/33lbs. weight limit on your luggage. On arrival at the Serengeti airstrip you will be picked up by our van, and you can enjoy the rest of the day game viewing in the park. Following the game drive, we will have dinner and spend the night at Kati Kati Tented Camp. Lunch and dinner provided. 2 small bottles of water (500ml) per person are also provided. The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must see’ on every safari regardless of the specific month of travel. Game viewing in Central Serengeti is at its best during the dry season as resident animals are more concentrated in the immediate area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest and giraffe. Resident carnivores include lion and leopard.
After a morning breakfast, you can enjoy early morning game drive in Serengeti. You will be provided with a packed lunch that you can enjoy as you exit Serengeti National Park and head to Ngorongoro Conversation Area. Once you arrive at the Ngorongoro Conversation Area, you can enjoy dinner and spend the night at the beautiful Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.
After breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor and enjoy game viewing. Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometres wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest. In early afternoon make your way back to Arusha, where your safari experience will be completed.
